Chitrakote Falls

About 38 km west of Jagdalpur

On the Indravati River. Horseshoe-shaped, roughly 29 m (95 ft) drop, spreading to nearly 300 m wide in peak monsoon — the widest waterfall in India, often called the Niagara of India. Fullest July–October.

Inside Kanger Valley National Park. Water drops in milky tiers over roughly 100 ft; a Shiva–Parvati temple sits beside the falls.

Entry via the Kotamsar barrier (about 27 km from Jagdalpur) or the Netanar barrier (about 33 km). Open roughly November–June; entry permit required at the barrier.

Inside Kanger Valley. Limestone cave about 1,371 m long, roughly 35 m below ground, with stalactites and stalagmites. Closed 15 June – 31 October during the rains.
